A Branch Manager for Venture Construction is expected to be a
business manager, a manager of people and to provide leadership for
project managers as well.
- The first responsibility should be to control and direct all
activities of the branch office through its project managers,
accounting personnel and secretaries.
- The field activities of each branch office are controlled and
directed by the job superintendent under the direction of our area
supervisors. The branch manager and the area supervisor should work
hand-in-hand, trying to make each other's work go as smoothly as
possible. COMPLETE TEAMWORK BETWEEN THE BRANCH MANAGER AND AREA
SUPERVISOR IS VITAL FOR THIS JOB DESCRIPTION.
- OVERSEEING AND CONTROLLING THE INVOICING AND COLLECTIONS OF EACH
PROJECT MANAGER IN THE BRANCH IS VITAL FOR THIS JOB DESCRIPTION.
A Venture Project Manager is a team player working under the
direction of the Branch Manager and making every effort to bring the

control of the field activities for five to eight projects
simultaneously.

weaker Superintendents and less time with more seasoned personnel
realizing that it is mandatory that the Area Supervisor be on the
job during certain phases of construction regardless of the ability
of the Job Superintendent.
- Finding and checking property pins, checking line and grade for
building lay-outs, checking plumbing and electrical stub-ups before
slab pours and checking sub-surface conditions at various stages of
paving operation should be of vital concern to each Area Supervisor.
- Teamwork is also a vital part of area supervision. Area
Supervisors should strive to fully cooperate with the Project
Managers and keep them informed of jobsite conditions that they
might not be aware of from day to day.
